The magical book is written with a jumble of letters, and the pages fill themselves with more letters every time you manage to locate a word. What secret could be so important that this book was scrambled to protect it? It might be a really good recipe for Lemon Flan, or the location of a lost city filled with Lemon Flan. Regardless, it's up to you and your vast knowledge of words and letters to help the Professor decipher this book.
Click letters that are touching to make words, up and down, left and right, or diagonal. If you make very long words, you get more points. Some letters are worth more points, based on their frequency in the English language.
Right click a letter to deselect it. Double click your last letter to submit a word, or click Submit.
If you wish to get help from The Professor just click his HELP sign on his desk. He will re-scramble your letters for you, but he is a grouchy man and will hex one of your letters ever time you ask for his help.
Hex Letters will lock out other letters below them and spread downward every time you make a word. The hex letter itself can be cleared by using it in a word. This will clear the letters it has locked as well. You cannot use locked letters to make a word, so be careful because you might run out of spaces to make words! Hexed Letters will appear at a random location when you get hexed, there is no way to predict where you are going to get it. In multiplayer mode you can also hex your opponent by finding a word with 7 or more letters, or by scoring over 400 points in a single word.
If you make a word with 5 or more letters, you will get a Charmed Letter. Use it in a word, to double that word's score. If you make a word with 6 or more letters, you will get an Enchanted Letter that will triple a word's score. If you combine Charms and Enchants you can increase your score so much that the math involved would frighten even a Professor in Magic School!
The Professor has a very important lunch appointment and doesn't want to miss the baked custard at the end of the meal. You have only 3 minutes on your clock to find as many words as you can before the game is over and The Professor departs.
It's important to note that your opponents display is shown a few seconds behind to allow for network lag, and to prevent cheating.
